Mark Macy

Next Wednesday, May 9th, 2007 architect Mark Macy, principal of Macy Architecture, will make a presentation entitled "Compulsive Prototyping" covering an eclectic assortment of past and present projects.
Mark received a Bachelor of Architecture from the California Polytechnic State University at San Luis Obispo in 1985, then studied in Florence and subsequently worked for Italian architect Cristiano Toraldo di Francia of Superstudio. Upon returning to California he worked nine years for Fernau & Hartman in Berkeley. In 1994 he co-founded Jensen & Macy Architects, an award-winning architecture firm based in San Francisco, which has realized projects throughout California, the United States and Europe.
Mark has taught courses in architectural design at the California State University International Program in Florence, Kent State University's program in Sesto Fiorentino and California College of the Arts in San Francisco, California.
